Summer Groups

Tracheology Summer Groups are small groups that focus on bringing kids with tracheostomies and their families together, bridging the gap before starting school or during school breaks.

Through songs, play, arts and crafts, and sensory exploration, we:

*Find our voices

*Use multi-modal communication (spoken words, sign language, pictures, speech-generating devices)

*Learn words and symbols to describe concepts

*Practice oral motor skills for speech and swallowing

*Take turns and play together

*Work on our eating and drinking skills

More than a play date…

Connecting kids…

Connecting families…

Experiencing life with a trach outside of the hospital.

Groups currently occur outdoors in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. Additional locations will be considered upon request.
